JAG ÄR EXTREM / I AM EXTREM 2025 – 2026
In the summer 2026, LILITH preseted new iterations of their ongoing projects through performances, sculptures and video installations at OpenArt Örebro, Alma Löv Museum of Unexp. Art, and Konstfrämjandet Uppland.

On I AM EXTREME, when it was presented at Alma Löv on 27 June.
The works take their point of departure in LILITH’s long-standing practice of large-scale performance productions that explore ritual actions and inner human states in crisis, variation, and displacement. At the centre is the sculpture and performance I AM EXTREME, in which an oversized arm is carried in procession while rites and a newly composed opera piece is performed.
I AM EXTREME explores the deviant and the norm-breaking — that which chafes, disturbs, is perceived as difficult or extreme, and is therefore not always allowed to take up space in society. The procession becomes a ritual homage to the physical and psychological variations and imperfections of our bodies.
Questions of exclusion, love, longing, and grief recur throughout LILITH’s work. Their works seek to enter the viewer’s consciousness as a disturbance, thereby approaching the question of what it means to be human.
Working with newly assembled groups of local participants at each venue, LILITH continues its exploration of ritual, belonging, and the physical and psychological variations that shape human experience.

LILITH will present the sculpture I AM EXTREME and also the three-channel video work ALTERED THOUGHTS – RESISTANCE AND HAZE inside Hospitalet. In the work, we see a group of elderly, middle-aged and young people, as well as children, after a catastrophe, in the gap before a new order takes over.
Together, they explore possibilities for a new system, a new structure, a new beginning. The people collaborate, seeking closeness, community, tenderness and comfort. Rituals are re-established and muscle memories are explored.
The video work is based on the total performance MY TOTAL PLEASURE, which was presented in November 2022 at Lilith Performance Studio and at Scenkonstbiennalen in Stockholm in 2023. MY TOTAL PLEASURE was a collaboration between the artist duo LILITH and poet Daniel Mårs. Composer Philip Gleisner wrote the music.

WHAT RESONATES BETWEEN US
27 June – 6 September 2026
In the exhibition WHAT RESONATES BETWEEN US, LILITH presents several works that take their point of departure in an extensive collaboration initiated in 2023 with a functionally diverse ensemble from Moomsteatern and Teaterakademin – a daily activity centre in Malmö. Through intuitive and associative working methods, the work emerged with our different physical and mental shifts and variations as its driving force.
The collaboration resulted in the total performance ADORABLE DISPLACEMENT, which was presented at Lilith Performance Studio in 2023. In the Iceland Pavilion at Alma Löv, an independent five-channel video work based on the performance is shown under the same title. EAM composition by Tanya Byrne.
Outside the pavilion, the sculpture I AM EXTREME is presented, and inside the main building the sculpture MY HEAD RED AND GREEN is shown.
At the opening on 27 June, there will be a full programme from 1:00 PM.
At 3:00 PM, LILITH presents the performance I AM EXTREME in a new version with new local participants.

I AM EXTREME and ADORABLE MOVEMENT
Performance: 13 June, 18 July, 16 Augusti at 14.00
During OpenArt in Örebro, I AM EXTREME is presented as a sculpture at Stortorget, while ADORABLE MOVEMENT a performance artifact of an oversized arm and leg is shown inside Nikolaikyrkan. On three occasions during the summer, I AM EXTREME is activated through a performance in which a group of people carry the arm through the city in procession, while rites and a newly composed opera piece is performed during the walk.
